Welcome to Ninety-One School Counseling!

My name is Colby Scheer, and I am honored, and thankful to be able to continue serving the Ninety-One community, and the Canby School District as a Licensed School Counselor. This is my 19th year serving as a counselor, and my 25th year as an employee of the Canby School District.

My role as the school counselor is to provide a comprehensive program with the goal of helping all our students to find success with their social, emotional, and academic goals. Some of the things our comprehensive program provide are:

  • Individual Solution-Focus/Problem-Solving counseling.
  • Small support groups.
  • PBIS (Positive Behavior Incentive Support) plans.
  • Coordination of outside counseling resources.
  • Coordination of outside food/clothing/housing/mental health resources.
  • Classroom guidance lessons.
  • Ninety-One School CARE Team.
  • Homeless support services.

Please let me know if you have any questions, concerns, or need any support. I look forward to working with you!

Sincerely, Colby L. Scheer Licensed School Counselor Licensed Teacher

NINETY-ONE SCHOOL CARE TEAM

Over the last couple of years we have implemented a wonderful program called the Ninety-One CARE Team. We’re excited to continue the program for the 2020/2021 school year.

“The Ninety-One CARE Team has the goal of helping students with specific needs that may arise throughout the school year (food, clothing, bedding, supplies, etc.). A private message will go out via e-mail requesting the needed item(s). Members of the CARE Team will receive an email with the request and will reply if they’re able to help out with that particular need. We would then inform other CARE Team members that the need has been met. CARE Team members names and e-mail addresses will remain confidential.”

If you’re interested in being part of this year’s CARE Team, or would like more information please e-mail or call me at: colby.scheer@canby.k12.or.us, or via Google phone at 503-877-9734.

Thank you so much!

Clackamas County Go Teams

503-655-8585 Clackamas County Go Teams are ready to Help! Feeling isolated or alone? Are things too stressful right now, or overwhelming? We want to help. Go Teams are made up of people trained to listen and provide support in times of struggle. Go Team members are not therapists, but we are really good at listening. We will try to help reduce distress, work to improve existing coping skills, and will help you locate other resources if needed. We can assess the need for different kinds of support and provide help navigating all the options available. We will listen to your story. We can help with a referral or a resource. Give us a chance to be there for you.
